About Me
Nancy Paez, RN
I have been a nurse for nearly 50 years, caring for individuals across every stage of life. Among these moments, the end of life stands out as a profoundly sacred and intimate time. Yet, it is often met with fear, which can make the necessary conversations difficult to begin.
Supporting individuals and their families through these final days-offering kindness, compassion, dignity, forgiveness, and love-is one of the most meaningful services I can provide. It allows me to guide them through what are often sad, challenging, and frightening moments with grace and empathy.
Being fully present with them, without the constant pull of documentation and clinical distractions, is a gift-not only for them, but for me. Throughout my career, I have always shared a part of myself with my patients. Now, I am able to do so even more deeply and authentically. Free from the constraints of a rigid medical model-though still informed by decades of experience within it-I can offer my presence with true humanity and undivided attention.
